Details of  Dr. Reckeweg Calendula Officinalis:

Dr. Reckeweg Calendula officinalis is the most remarkable healing agent, applied locally. Calendula is useful for open wounds, parts that will not heal, ulcers, etc. Hence it is homeopathic antiseptic. It promotes healthy granulations and rapid healing by first intention. Calendula is a very common house-hold remedy and helps in healing wounds. Calendula is useful in clean cut, surgical cuts or lacerated or suppurating wounds. It prevents suppuration and promotes rapid healing. Calendula is useful in all cases of loss of soft parts. Rupture of muscles or tendons, laceration or perineal tear during labour. Can be used after eye operations or injuries to eye which are suppurating. Calendula is also indicated in neuritis from lacerated wounds, after amputation and also for bleeding after tooth extraction.

Conditions like deafness, catarrhal conditions, neuroma etc. should have calendula as a consideration too if the symptoms matches well. There is constitutional tendency to erysipelas. Pain is excessive and out of all proportion to injury in calendula officinalis patients. Calendula officinalis has cured patients with great disposition to take cold, especially in damp weather. Calendula is also used as an intercurrent remedy in cases of cancer. It has a remarkable power to produce local exudation and helps to make acrid discharge healthy and free.

It is also a remedy for women’s complaints especially of the cervix; warts and uterine hypertrophy, with a sensation of weight and fullness in pelvis and a pulling sensation of the groin. Calendula also helps in breast infection.

Mind: 

• Extremely nervous, sensitive to noise  
• Easily frightened, starting with fright  
• Fear something will happen
• Restlessness with fear of impending misfortune  
• Irritable    

Generalities:  

• Wounds: raw, inflamed, red, stinging, open, cut, lacerated, ragged, suppurated 
• Promotes healthy granulations and rapid healing
• Exhaustion from loss of blood or excessive pain; esp if out of proportion to the injury  
• Pain is excessive and out of all proportion to injury  
• Prevents lymphangitis ( inflammation of walls of lymphatics vessels ), gangrene, sepsis  
• Injuries of muscles, tendons  
• After labor, helps heal post operative cuts and injuries, esp caesarean  
• Worse by motion, touch, wet weather, better in rest

• Hearing impaired from scares on tympanic membrane
